What is PilotAgent and how does it work?

PilotAgent is a Chrome extension that automatically replies to Facebook Marketplace messages using AI. Install the extension, connect it to your PilotAgent dashboard with your Agent ID, set up your AI in AI settings, and it handles buyer conversations while you focus on other things. It works on facebook.com/messages: select Marketplace in the sidebar. It replies while Chrome is open there. When it starts, it also answers unread chats from the last 12 hours. Older unread chats are left for you.

Why is the extension not responding to messages?

The most common causes: Reply to buyers is switched off in AI settings, PilotAgent is turned off in the extension on that computer, Chrome is not open on facebook.com/messages with Marketplace selected, the Agent ID is missing or wrong, or your monthly replies have run out. The Overview page of your dashboard says when something needs a look, and the Troubleshooting page of the docs has a full checklist.

How do I improve the quality of AI responses?

Fill in the profile builder in AI settings with specific details about your business. Add your listings on the Listings page, write your rules on price in Offers and haggling, set your tone, and try your agent on the Test page before going live.

What happens when I reach my monthly message limit?

Accepted Answer

You can upgrade to a higher plan for more replies, wait for your next billing period, or answer the remaining chats yourself. The Replies this month meter in your dashboard sidebar shows how many you have used. Plans range from 1,000 replies a month (Starter at $10) to 10,000 (Enterprise at $50), and Enterprise+ limits are set up with you.

Does PilotAgent capture buyer contact information?

Yes, lead capture is included on all paid plans. PilotAgent automatically extracts buyer name, phone number, email address, and physical address from conversations using AI. Leads are stored in a built-in CRM where you can filter, search, and export them as CSV files. You can also get an email for each new lead: switch it on in Leads, under Lead settings.

Can I pause the AI for specific conversations?

Yes, PilotAgent supports per-chat pause. You can pause and resume AI responses for individual conversations from both the dashboard and the Chrome extension. This lets you take over a conversation manually without disabling the AI for all your other chats.
