AI Profile Builder and Configuration
PilotAgent uses advanced AI to generate contextual, human-like responses. You control exactly how the AI communicates using two configuration modes that stay synchronised.
How PilotAgent behaves
Four settings sit at the top of the AI tab, above the Profile Builder and the Prompt Editor. They apply whichever one you use, each saves the moment you change it, and none of them ever changes your prompt.
Reply to buyers
The on and off switch for your agent. Switch it off and no buyer gets a reply, straight away, from your phone or any browser, even if the computer running PilotAgent is left on.
Reply language
Choose Auto and your agent answers each buyer in the language they write in, even very short messages like "available?" or "Dispo?". Pick a fixed language only if every reply must be in that language, whatever the buyer writes.
When a buyer shares their number or email
Keep replying, send one closing line and step back, or send nothing and step back. When it steps back, the chat pauses and the conversation is yours.
Only reply to my listings
Buyers asking about an item that is not on your Listings page get no reply. Read the note in Listings Management before you switch this on.
Profile Builder (Recommended)
The Profile Builder is a structured, form-based setup that walks you through configuring your AI agent step by step. Recommended for most users.
Business Tab
Business name, type, location, operating hours, and description. This gives the AI context about who you are and what you sell.
Communication Tab
Tone (friendly, professional, casual), greeting style and response length. Controls how the AI sounds. Reply language is set in How PilotAgent behaves.
Policies Tab
Pricing negotiation rules, return policy, shipping options, and accepted payment methods. This is where you set your negotiation boundaries.
Advanced Tab
Custom instructions, restricted topics, and follow-up behaviour. Add anything specific that does not fit the other tabs.
Prompt Editor (Advanced)
For users who prefer direct control, the Prompt Editor gives you a text editor to write or modify your AI system prompt directly. Both modes sync in real time. Changes in the Profile Builder update the Prompt Editor and vice versa.
Tip: Start with the Profile Builder, then fine-tune specific wording in the Prompt Editor.

AI Playground
Test your AI configuration before going live. The AI Playground lets you simulate buyer conversations and see exactly how your agent will respond. Try different scenarios, like a lowball offer or a question about shipping, to make sure everything works the way you want.
Pick a listing in "Test with listing" at the top of the Test tab to see exactly what a buyer messaging that listing would get. On Facebook your agent always knows which listing a buyer is on, so this is the closest match to a real chat. If the agent deliberately stays silent, for example after a buyer shares their number, the Test tab tells you so.
